Creating Sustainable Cities provides its Members with a series of free publications written by some of the leading minds and figures that operate within this exciting sector. We work with our Members to identify relevant topics for each publication and make them freely available to support
UK cities and towns develop their understanding of how to deliver sustainable city projects.
Our first publication 'The Benefits of Urban Greening' has now been downloaded over 4,000 times.
Our most recent publication - Paying for Energy Savings in Schools - looks at how school energy programmes can be financed and mobilised by local authorities in England, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands and Denmark. It was written by the Z/Yen Group and commissioned by Southend Borough Council as part of the Interreg North Sea Region funded project 2imprezs.
It follows the publication of Nature Smart Cities: Business Model, which sets out the finance that is readily available to cities across the world that will enable them to deliver large-scale urban greening and climate resilience programmes.
